Welcome!
Stockton Civic Theatre is an important part of San Joaquin County’s
history and future—a regional showplace for great works of performing
art that influence and enhance the lives of the residents of
California’s Great Central Valley.
The theatre was founded in 1951 by civic-minded theatre lovers and
has continued to produce shows annually for the past 55 years. In
1981, the theatre opened its current 300-seat facility in the Venetian
Bridges area of Stockton, just off March Lane. In addition to
producing six plays a season, we conduct a dynamic theatre education
program for youth and adults.
We hope you’ll enjoy our website, and as a result of your visit
here, will decide to become involved with SCT - as a theatre patron,
as a volunteer and as a financial supporter.
